This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding cancellations and refunds for tours and services booked through our platform. By booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. General Policy

1.1 All cancellations and refund requests must be submitted through our platform or via email at ***

1.2 The time and method of cancellation will determine eligibility for a refund, as described below.

2. Cancellation by the Customer

2.1 Cancellations Made More Than 48 Hours Before the Tour Date:

Eligible for a full refund.

Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after confirmation of the cancellation.

2.2 Cancellations Made Less Than 48 Hours Before the Tour Date:

Not eligible for a refund.

2.3 No-Show Policy:

If you fail to arrive at the designated meeting point at the specified time, your booking will be considered a no-show and will not be eligible for a refund.

3. Cancellation by Layover Ehf or the Provider

3.1 If a tour is canceled by us or the third-party tour provider due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions, operational issues, or insufficient bookings, you will be offered one of the following options:

A full refund.

The opportunity to reschedule the tour for a different date, subject to availability.

A credit for future use on our platform.

3.2 Refunds for cancellations initiated by us or the provider will be processed within 7-10 business days.

4. Exceptional Circumstances

4.1 Force Majeure:

In the event of cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, strikes), refunds may not be available. However, we will work with you to provide alternative options, such as rescheduling or credits for future bookings.

4.2 Customer Illness or Emergency:

Refunds or rescheduling options may be considered on a case-by-case basis for cancellations due to verified emergencies. Documentation may be required.

5. Partial Cancellations

5.1 If your booking includes multiple activities or services, cancellations of individual components may not be eligible for partial refunds unless explicitly stated during booking.

6. Refund Process

6.1 All refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during booking.

6.2 Refunds will be processed in Icelandic Króna (ISK). Currency conversion fees or fluctuations are not covered by us.

6.3 If the payment was made through a third-party platform (e.g., PayPal, credit card), additional processing time may apply based on their policies.

7. Modifications to Bookings

7.1 Requests for modifications, such as changes to tour dates or participant details, must be submitted at least 48 hours before the scheduled tour. Approval of modifications is subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
